Title: Navigate to route then navigate along route?
Post by: Dest on December 09, 2012, 20:52:26
I have a route saved as kml and gspx files. I'd like to turn by turn navigate to this route, along roads, and then follow it. After playing around with Lotus I can't seem to make it do that. Thanks.

Hi, there is no direct way to combine two navigationroutes in Locus (because locus is primary not a navigation tool). So workarround is to let create a separate navigation route to the start of the main navigation route (don't forget to save the main route so you don't loose it when doing the first one). When reaching the startpoint of the main navigation, stop the first navigation and select the main one to navigate.
Komplex way (for doing the whole way by one navigation) is to try to merge the both navigation routes with an text editor or some tool (be careful not to loose navigation informations that are needed by locus, otherwise navigation will not work).

Hmm if I understand question correctly, then druki, you answer on something little bit different.

Simple guide to enable turn-by-turn navigation along imported GPX/KML track
(btw. I know system is still too complicated. I needs improvements - planned)

1. go to menu > settings > guiding > (tracks) notification settings
2. here set "Notify when switching to another point" and "Text-to-speech"
3. check if it play by "Play" button
4. return to map and display tracks
5. tap on it and from bottom menu, choose "Guide"

is it what you wanted?
