Title: My Location
Post by: Sam on September 17, 2012, 20:41:40
Hi, being new to Locus I was exploring and noticed that on the GPS screen on the lower left is a button " My Location" . This button however seems only to swich off the GPS. Is this correct ?
( Galaxy S2 with ICS and Locus Pro).

Hi Sam

ähem..  "yes"
its also the "ON"-button for (phone)network location - so it's called "my location"

as gynta wrote - it's generally button, that start communicating of Locus with source of Location. So if you have in your android device enable GPS or Locations (in main android settings > location & security settings), Locus will starts to read GPS data and locations from Network (BTS/Wi-fi). Same button is also used if you change source in Locus settings to Bluetooth GPS. So that's why it's generally called "My Location" and not just GPS on/off

What I did not realize right away that it does NOT activate GPS but rather only uses activated "location sources" (linke menion wrote). So in order to use GPS you first have to activate GPS outside of Locus!
