Title: Merge personal map into online cache?
Post by: ska on June 08, 2012, 20:24:05
Dear Locus fellows,

I have downloaded some spots of Mapnik into a Personal sqlite map, in order to have them as sort of "sticky" cache, when the data uplink is unavailable.

I have activated "Auto load maps of exactly same type (if exist), other type otherwise", online maps, selected Mapnik, and caching is active, too. But when I disable the uplink, the map view misses tiles and says "unknown problem".

But when the internet is not available, the spots, I have downloaded, remains unavailable with Mapnik online map selected, hence, the Personal map is not used. If I select the Personal map manually, the tiles of the spots are there. I use Locus Pro current version of the market.

Can I merge the Personal map back into the online tile cache? Or have the offline map as fallback for the online map?

Kind regards, Steffen

Hello Ska,
unfortunately non of this is now possible in Locus. Only idea how to merge maps into one is using some SQLite editor that can copy rows from one database to another
