Title: Issue with IJsselmeer in vector map ?
Post by: jusc on April 03, 2012, 09:00:27
Is there any (dutch) openstreetmap user, who can verify, if the IJsselmeer is correct mapped?
I wonder about the marshland and white water in the vectormap of the netherlands.
If you use online openstreetmap instead it looks, as there is no marshland, but all water..

I'm not dutch but there is a general issue with coastlines:
http://code.google.com/p/mapsforge/issues/detail?id=185 (http://code.google.com/p/mapsforge/issues/detail?id=185)
If you have a look e.g. on an island like Gran Canaria there is only "snow" around the island but no water.
But now I remember one more issue which could be related to this problem as well:
http://code.google.com/p/mapsforge/issues/detail?id=229 (http://code.google.com/p/mapsforge/issues/detail?id=229)
However, both issues are mapsforge library problems and you could help to increase importance of these problems if you add your observation there and "star" the problem.

Yes, the water is white (as it is for the North Sea) but the Waddenzee is normal (white).

I am using Netherlands from here: http://gps.sebbosweb.com/ (http://gps.sebbosweb.com/)

or province maps from here: http://vectormaps4locus.eu/Europe-Netherlands (http://vectormaps4locus.eu/Europe-Netherlands)  (also white and no marshland)

Hello Henk,
it seems, that sebbos netherlands map is version 0.2.4 because the render theme seems to be static.
On the other side the IJsselmeer map  seems to be 0.3 but doesn´t show the marshland because this is out of range.

@jusc: I downloaded the province maps at least two months ago (so before the discussion in the other topic about 3.0)

so they are probably NOT 3.0

Is there another way to see detailed info about a downloaded map?

Wait for next Locus version, then there should be a different icon for different versions of vector maps.
@Menion: Can you confirm?

Thanks to version 2.2.1 of Locus it shows now easily that my Netherlands Vector map is version 3.0 and all the rest is 2.0.
