I've problem during import gpx file to selected category. When I want to import gpx file (data manager -> category -> category item -> import ->select gpx file) the import popup appears and I check replace for all. After all there appears 0 point imported.
Gpx file have some different points (eg. logs added to selected points) that previous imported.
nice report Robin ... please share at least some part of your file. Without it, I cannot check it and test (and in case of problem, fix) ...

At first you have to import to new category a old.gpx file, and second one import the new.gpx file to the same category checking "apply to all".
In the attachment I've put also a geoget import screenshot to show you differences found by another application.
perfect, too much logs caused problems ... fixed now
