I added already successfully a WMS server from Germany (NRW). I had to type p. e: http://www.wms.nrw.de/geobasis/adv_dtk100 (http://www.wms.nrw.de/geobasis/adv_dtk100). (nice)
It takes a while for loading and it needs a few megabytes, but it works great with the blank map.
But how can I add other wms server? Must I add a xml file with the getMap capabilties?
Is there already a description?
I´m looking for a WMS server of/for Sardegna and Corse. If you have a good one already please let me know.

yes, you already have to add get capabilities url request (you may write it without ?getCapa ... ending. Locus will add it automatically. About recommended maps .. maybe anyone suggest you any. I'll test and add all reported maps probably during november
I added this "http://webgis.regione.sardegna.it/wmsconnector/com.esri.wms.Esrimap/ras_wms?request=getcapabilities&service=WMS&version=1.1.1" and Locus added it automatically, but as I try to load "unknown problem". Offline?
I think maybe no map on server? Try to enable only a few layers of this map. I'm currently prepare version for release so I'll look on it tomorrow if there will still be any problem ..
Ahh, you are right. All layers were enabled. But some don´t work. Unfortunately no raster map. So I have to look further for some raster layer.
