As mentioned here http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=3704.msg27059.msg#27059 I'm thinking there are enough possibilities to sort and count points:

1) for each category of points use one extra folder

2) for similar categories use one group of folders

3) at the end you can mix all this points in one folder

The way to do this work easy is using templates in 'quick points' with declarations of group, folder, name, counter and icon you desire.

Hi,

up to now all functions like weather, navigation, OSM notes, overlays and so on are OK in PRO version (2.19.0). Locus shop too.

hmm so generally you miss defined groups in data > tab Points / Tracks?

I'm testing it now also on older 2.3.5 Android and it seems to work correctly. Think how to solve it ... some screenshots? Maybe better if you may share with me Locus/data/database directory?

If I downloaded free versions from forum site in the past there wasn't any problems with running as pro for limited time. Only free version from Google market has another behaviour and runs as free with ads and limited functionality.
If I bought Locus years ago I bought it from Androidpit and nowadays it isn't listet in Google market/ my apps. Can this be the difference for things go wrong?

In last versions I was grouping databases. It worked in pro and free version. But in 2.19.1 former defined groups are gone in data view. In selection view for exporting points groups are visible. In point description group info is missing too.

Hallo Christian,

Here it's working if I'm looking for places in visible part of the map. Places outside aren't found. But usually I m looking for addresses, this works in all areas.

Yes its hidden. Never expected a enhanced menu when i slider is shown. Even in WLan settings :(
May be a small triangle beside the capture of the slider can help...

Hi,
unfortunately it's not simply possible now, because library that generate these files is currently not working :). Anyway April should be by our plan, month of Offline POI, so ...

:'(:'( That's a pity! At this time I will be hiking in Italy from south to north for about 6-8 weeks. Maybe particular database could come to late. :'(:'(

I would like to support the idea of gps-portal clients built in Locus.
Tried the gpsies app without any success similar to their mobile device optimized website. Its very useless and frustrating.
Other portals are better but circuitous.

I guess there are API for every portal. Would be nice to have a connection. May be as an Add-on...

I don't like collecting data neither for searching machines nor for apps on android (in this case Locus). That's the reason I prefer a more uncomfortable way with meta searching machines resp. download from one source and import in another destination.

Only my way!

can i make locus to open/import *.gpx files directly from explorer if i click them? the system menu shows installed script manager or orux maps but not locus to open those files.

hnd

Hi bugfix,

If you press a filename with *.gpx longer then you can select 'share' from popup window and in the following window you can select p.e. Locus pro or Locus free. Maybe this behavior depends on file explorer you are using. For me doing x-plore this job. Btw. 'share' function is in most apps on android.

First, it sounds good. But at the second I think it would be better to use specialised filters or other criterias the sites have. Downloading and importing selected tracks should be not so difficult.

Hi menion,

maybe there is a problem with loading maps downloaded with Oruxmaps with new test version 2.18.0.10. You can't see this maps, only text 'loading...'.

Last weeks I downloaded a lot of maps from IGM (Italian 'Istituto Geografico Militaire') to get ready for my next hike. With Locus Pro 2.18.0 it's all OK. Same with previous Pro and Free versions.
