koukám, že to bude chtít nějaké optimalizace. Jen varuju pro stahující. Mapu je třeba při prvním spuštění nainicializovat a takový balík dat bude trvat, tipuju klidně i deset minut než celý projedu, tak se nelekejte. Při dalších spuštěních už to bude jako blesk ...

so, something I recently implemented. Who shall resist to those ideas

 - so, red label completely removed (not needed anymore)
 - confusing name of button - you're right .. so re-writted as you can see, hopefully to more user friendly coat
 - problem with freezing after canceling not completely downloaded maps, remains ... solve later
 - problem with sometimes unsuccessful download ... also solve later
 - downloading by country ... nice idea, implemented

  it's amazing article full of interesting suggestions, thank you very very much

  seems that all are really interesting things, mainly possibility to download (or just select) whole country. I have in mind possibility to select just and non-rectangle area. Some polygon, so after that, preselected areas of some countries should be very useful.

  about other things, I have to read whole text second time and think more about it , but almost everything seems to be reasonable things, so I'll comment it more detaily later, when I have time to do something with it ...

  jsem rád že se líbí ...
  pokud se zadaří (mělo by, sám jsem to kdysi stahoval a bylo to snad 1.2GB v největším zoomu) a máš velký upload, můžeš mapku nasdílet a odkazy dát do Locus->Share maps. Takový balík určitě někdo ocení

  - so please, try it and help me to catch all bugs or improve things that are not quite intuitive.

  - look on icon design. It's no my own, cause I'm not graphically talented. I someone want to create graphics for Locus, or if you know any place with nice icons, it will be very welcome

About your question:
for format ... easiest is to download map and look onto format. Supported is also configuration map format from ozi explorer, not only my custom xml format.

i missed you description about used version ... sorry.

so i new version is still same problem ... maps are correctly downloaded but not show on right location, right? And both selection method ("this screen", "selection") have same results?

I'm currently working on some improvements of this selection methods, so please wait for new version and then we will see if problem remains

I'm currently working on changed system of map area selecting, co this functionality will surely be there, just wait for new version (probably firstly testing version here on forum)

hmm ... ad edit, zajímavé řešení. Přiznám se, že jsem ani nečekal že něco takového bude existovat. Vývojáři jak vidím jsou schopni všeho

  já obecně s nastavováním polohy ve WhereYouGo prostě moc nesouhlasím. Člověk když už nějakou hru chce zkusit, měl by si pročíst logy, podívat se na hodnocení hry atd. Myslím že nějaká průměrná hra u stolu může být naopak mnohem lepší v terénu (díky samotnému prostředí) a naopak ...

  takže jak jsem už někde psal. Pokud jste vývojář, případně pokud dumáte nad tím jestli jet nebo nejet na 150km vzdálenou Wherigo, můžu vám udělat časově omezenou verzi kde bude fungovat nastavování polohy na mapě, jinak ale tuto funkčnost dělat nebudu.

  jen zaplňuj ...

  nápad je to vskutku neotřelý. Tahle funkčnost v aplikaci ale dávno je. Tedy .. v aplikaci kterou používám já. Officiální verze to samozřejmě nemá. No nejsem si jistý kolik lidí by to využilo. Je sice pravda, že appka není 100% spolehlivá na všech cartridžích, ale zase na druhou stranu, spolu s Honzou (autorem OpenWIGu), snad úspěšně elimujeme (hlavně tedy on) množství nefunkčních her. Pokud by jsi byl vývojář cartridží a chtěl tu svou otestovat nanečisto, mohl bych ti poslat nějakou časově omezenou verzi s touhle odemčenou funkčností. Jinak bych spíše preferoval vytvořit seznam fungujících keší a řídit se tím. Není jich tolik aby se seznam nedal udělat ...

  no pokud by o tvoje řešení byl velký zájem tak bychom to nějak promysleli, ale jinak jak jsem psal ...

  o programu na posílání virtuální polohy nevím, lze ale takto testovat v SDK emulátoru, kam posílat souřadnice jdou. Je to tedy v podstatě to samé co jsi chtěl jen ne přímo v telefonu ale v emulátoru. Takže kdyžtak zkus to (pokud by se nedařilo emulátor rozchodit, můžu poradit)
