Does Locus have the possibility to send a SOS SMS with the position coordinates? Something like
http://www.androidpit.de/de/android/mar ... ere-I-Am-2 (http://www.androidpit.de/de/android/market/apps/app/com.codesector.hereiam/Here-I-Am-2)
or
http://www.androidpit.de/de/android/mar ... /Here-I-am (http://www.androidpit.de/de/android/market/apps/app/com.adianteventures.hereiam/Here-I-am)
If not, it may be usefull?
I think this can be easily done with ...
1. long click on map (to have current location, enable centering and long click on map center)
2. tap on address or immediately on "loading" dialog
3. on last bottom button tap on "Share"
or call function "Share -> share map center" if you want to define text in message
Ok, I tried it.
But for SOS p. e. if you need a helicopter or mountain rescue they need the coordinates as plain text.
If you "share" your position as SMS you get this with something like ..ttp:/mapof.it/h/u1m286...gz. So if you want to see it, you must have an internet connection plus Locus or Google Maps and only afterwards you can see the position. In my eyes it´s a bit clumsy.
you can use second method - share function
Thank you, that is what I looked for.
