@Andrew Heard ah, thanks. Easy task, not sure why not yet fixed. I'll push it a little ;)

Hello,
with this bookmark setup you have access to the Strava Heatmap in the desired location.
You cannot view this attachment.
The first time the browser opens you only need to log in to see the higher zoom level.

The zoom I used is fixed at 15, because using the same Locus zoom level the two maps differ too much.

No need to manage with config file, cookies, edit file as in this old post https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/strava-heatmap-requires-now-authentification-at-higher-zoom#comment-54089

Obviously a different result is obtained, but for someone it could be useful to easily see the most popular routes

@lor74cas
problem with the notifications > then I do not know for now, sorry.

Peakfinder > thanks. I can't test it but I trust it works. Added to "Predefined" options.

A limited list of apps > Locus Map does not have permission to access all available apps on the device, only the pre-selected ones. So I need to manually define supported apps. This is different compared to Tasker.

The new Beta version has just been published. Enjoy it!

That's all fine but Quick bookmark in panel opens a dialog to select a bookmark.
For me a feature to add a bookmark button directly in the side/bottom/... panel will be much better.
This is only possible via tasker plugin. That's why I use both ways today.

Hello,
well yes it's me again, sorry if I torment you I'm just a poor man on vacation during the holidays and it rains outside every single day.
I was trying to enter a shortcut to the plantnet app in Locus and came across this warning on the menu:
You cannot view this attachment.
and in fact I did not find the desired app among those proposed.

I then took advantage of the locus bookmarks and the teachings of Tapio

I created a bookmark that "calls" tasker, namely a task with the name Plantnet
You cannot view this attachment.

Since for Tasker there is no problem to open any app, a simple "Launch App" command was enough to get the result.
You cannot view this attachment.

I turned a shortcut into a bookmark and for me it's even more useful, so I have everything in the same menu.

Hi guys,

backups & its content ... seems I'll have to look at it and rewrite a backup setup completely. I believe that the best solution should be an option to setup the content of automatic and manual backups.

NoGo points ... I know I know. Another old story  ::)

And for all ... current, sometimes not working backups > will be fixed in next bug-fix version (in next few days), sorry for this.

Quote from: Andrew Heard on December 23, 2022, 01:50:28So it doesn't get backed up at present? A pity there is no way to edit the no-go points/ handle them as any other user point.
It was once addressed so that the No-Go points in the points folder get its own folder. There are also 2 suggestions on the subject.
https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/add-special-folder-for-managing-all-nogo-points
https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/add-waypointmap-no-go-points
With this solution, they would then also be secured.

Would be nice to not forget the no go area file in the backup.
I know it's in a completely different folder. But inside the backup it can be moved to somewhere else.

Track.db without no go area file might result in a different track after recalculation.

Best would be to separate the backups into two zip files. One for the tracks DB, the other for all the rest. The second one is tiny in comparison, could be sent even via mobile internet. tracks.db is a killer after some years of activity.

Quote from: Žajdlík Josef on December 22, 2022, 08:55:46Hi Menione. Backup files sent to the cloud are too big. The last one has over 0.5 GB. Most of the space is occupied by the track.db (800 MB) file. It is unnecessary to back up routes and points for the Gold version because they are stored in the Webplaner. Would it be too difficult to miss these files for Gold users from autonatic backups?
I still want to backup these files as a Gold user.

I strongly oppose leaving out the *.db by default. As an option, ok, but in my view, this is an absolute necessity - you can never rely on online storage service, I want to be able to restore my database even when e.g. Locus Web is down.

@Andrew Heard
not a direct mistake, but sorry for the confusion. Important is mainly the second number 1087 vs 1089. This is the internal numbering of public versions and it is always incrementing by +1 and can never go backward.

@jonny.blue
I noticed this during the weekend as well. I was trying to fix it and was unable to find out, why the geocaching.com server report any error. And hour later, the issue disappeared, uff. So most probably some issue on the geocaching.com server.

Troubles & Questions / Re: possible memory leak?

Quote from: Andrew Heard on December 16, 2022, 22:32:35It sounds like the leak is only with geocaching.
Hello Andrew
no,
memory leak occurs when:
- map is visible
- map is centered
- map is moving (new tiles are loaded)
- map rotate ?

Thanks Andrew, appreciate your tests. I'm unable to find the difference because of your/mine usage and how @balloni55 or @jordyke use the app. There has to be some issue, but it is quite hard to find ...

Hi J,

Yes, I have noticed. I have added the new OS Crag tag to the new version of the theme I'm slowly working on. It's close to ready for v4/v5 maps. But the v3 of the OS Map theme is in need of major updates to support lomap maps and keep the latest look/feel in line with v4/v5 theme...

I could release just the v4/v5 map theme if people want something for Andromaps now....
