Title: Geocache missing and wrong WP
Post by: balloni55 on August 26, 2012, 13:40:44
Hi menion
after importing a gpx-file i have downloaded from Groundspeak GC3QP8D with some waypoints, not all waypoints are displayed, see SS_1

After i "update geocache" with Locus, two more waypoints are displayed but the distance is far far away, see SS_2

Do you have an idea whats wrong?

Hi,

this seems to be a geocache containing waypoints with hidden coordinates (e.g. a multicache), where you have to solve a task to calculate the real coordinates. When you update such a cache (btw, updating is function of geocaching4locus, not locus itself), these waypoints are mapped to N0° E0°, which is usually far away...

I think in when importing geocaches using a pocket query, these waypoints are not contained in the gpx file. That's why they are missing in your first step.

Hi mambofive,
thanks for your answer.
You are right, :)
the coordinates of these both stations of the Multicache are hidden.
So i can edit the coordinates after i found the information in the first stations.
