Purchased Locus Pro yesterday.

My phone has limited internal memory. I just imported a fairly large .GPX
Can it be imported to external SD card instead?

Hello,
first question is what android version you use?
If you use Kitkat or higher  this is not possible, POI´s and track are handeled in  a database inside Locus, read/write
Maybe one possible solution to solve your memory problem:
settings/Miscellaneous/Default directories/Advanced
there you see which files (maps, srtm...) can be stored on extSD for use with Locus to save memory on internal SD

by the way, how large is your gpx and what is the content?
if you can modify it to kmz you can use it possibly as "mapItem"

Yeah it's Android version 5.1.1

Thankfully I was already able to move the MapsVector and data/srtm folder structures over to extSD.

The gpx is only 24KB and contains roughly 200 tracks with points of interest.
I'll check into the kmz conversion idea.

Thanks.

Hello UncleJK,
I think you do not need to worry about consumed data when we talk about imported points & tracks. Such tiny file will consume almost no space in your memory. You may always check size of your databases (Locus/data/database directory) to see it's size.

Anyway if you have problem with space in internal memory, you can change Locus main dir including track and waypoint databases to external SD card (Settings > Miscellaneous > Default folders > Main folder > select place on your ext SD).
I don't have any limitations with write access to external SD card on Android 5.1.1

Just please be careful and do not do some crazy things like "re-install". Because once you remove Locus from your device, it also delete these directories. Little bit dangerous ...
