Hello,

sometimes, if you are very slow on the way, the recorded track shows a zick zack course after saving. Is there any posibillity to smooth out these tracks, perhaps while saving the track with a setting option?

If you use the BRouter app (http://www.dr-brenschede.de/brouter/offline.html. There is a new version 0.98 ) you have to download some routing (rd5) files too. And perhaps the new files for car routing.

Please read carefully.
For Windows users only.

At the moment there are: Batch scripts  for D-A-CH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), BE-NE-LUX (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg),
Czechia, France, Great Britain (incl. Ireland), Italy and Spain.

1. Download the attached Down-BRouter-Files.zip file and copy it to your target directory, where you want to download later the BRouter files
2. Unzip the zip file
3. Open the command prompt and change to the directory where you unzipped the Down-BRouter-Files.zip
4. Run Start.bat (this will download the two BRouter files for the isle Madeira AND CREATE (ADD) a subdirectory structure to your actually directory
    h2096617.stratoserver.net\brouter\segments2\carsubset
   You may see the download  progress and if you don´t want the to files. you may delete them, but leave the directories untouched!
5. NOW do not start any other batch script, if you have already downloades BRouter files before,
    copy your allready existing *.rd5 files to h2096617.stratoserver.net\brouter\segments2\ (not to carsubset!!!) and
    all existing *.cd5 files to h2096617.stratoserver.net\brouter\segments2\carsubset subdirectoriy

Ready?
6. Now you can start with download your country with the included batch files.
    The BRouter files are only downloaded if the are newer than the files you copied before to the subdirectories.
   Vou may see the information while the batch is running.
   
7. Now you can copy the downloaded *.rd5 files to your BRouter/segments2 directory
    and the downloaded *.cd5 files to BRouter/segments2/carsubset directory at your phone

But why do I see some not wanted infos on wrong place of the map? That doesn´t happen with OpenAndroMaps

So I vote for better picture quality in this forum with using smartphones.
Every time I look on this forum with my phone and tapatalk I can´t see the attached pictures correctly because they are in very poor quality. As Christian wrote (http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=3564.0) it should be an administrator setting?

habt Ihr auch das Problem, dass angehängte Bilder (Screenshots) mit dem Smartphone extrem unscharf dargestellt werden?
Mit dem PC ist das kein Problem. Das scheint aber an der Forensoftware zu liegen.

I installed it with Locus taping the addon. But after installation, it crashes while searching for keywords.

do we have a new forum design?
If yes, I´missing the attachments like screenshots and zip files.

I activated all possibilities for automatic display activation on tour. Than I used a recorded track for "track back" with guiding. But the display didn't wake up one time. Maybe I missunderstood something or it isn't for use with guiding?
Phone was Note 2.

A few days ago I bought a credit for store downloads with google, but the account  was not updated.
Menion is on his hiking trip... What can I do?

Just tested, Locus 2.13.1 crashes after some actions. I sended a log file.

Today I disabled data and calibrated the pressure sensor to 60m (what was roud about the GPS altituide) at start of track recording.
Now first point was correct at 60m recorded but second point 10 meters ahead already with 104m altitude.
How is it possible? Are there any older (downloaded) data used without being connected to the internet?

I wonder if this is a good place for the lock screen button, particular if you are riding your bike?
What if you only want to lock the zoom level for better viewing   I´m not sure, if I hit always the right buttom.

I´ve created a new theme bundle for OpenAndroMaps and maps from Locus store.
What´are the differences to the older Volatile themes?
1.
In older themes, the icons become smaller and smaller as you zoom more into the map
These V(olatile)-Scale themes are full scalable, all icons (.png files) are changed to SVGs (scalable vector graphics). So it´s now possible to let the icons grow while zoom in.
A lot of the icons are inspired from openstreetmap ( https://trac.openstreetmap.org/browser/ ... /map-icons).
Some I´ve created by my own.
2.
The streets and the street names are now better visible.
The descriptions (refs) of the cycle and hike routes are placed along the routes for better visible.
3.
I rounded the end of the wider lines for the refs, so the curves are looking a bit smoother and no longer disrupted.

like a. plus hiking routes
c. V-Scale_Cycle
like a. plus cycle routes and mtb ways. (including track grades and up and down difficulties)
You´ll see also some barriers at zoom level 17 and up.

The themes are developed with a Samsung Note 2 and controlled with a Galaxy S2 and Defy.
I hope, they are usefull for you with other phones too.

please have a look at the internal hiking theme. (tested with test version 2.12.2.
The "Herrmannsweg" in Germany near Bad Iburg should have a "white H" foreground on black rectangle background. But there is allways only a black rectangle background symbol.
In OSM the route is tagged as osmc:symbol = black:black:black_rectangle:H:white

I look sometimes into this forum without to be logged in. If I want to reply to a thread I use the reply button and  of course I must log in before answering. But why doesn´t the forum software redirect me to the thread I would liek to answer, instead to main side?

Kurze Frage in die Runde.
Funktioniert bei Euch die Trackaufzeichnung incl Höhenangaben?
Zuletzt habe ich immer das Note 2 mit Cyanogen genutzt. Nur die ersten 3 Punkte werden mit Höhenangaben gespeichert. Alle weiteren Punkte sind dann ohne Höhenangaben.
Habe den Sensor (Baro) und GSM eingeschaltet und beides aktiviert. Also sollte zumindest die GPS-Höhe gespeichert werden, selbt wenn der Baro nicht funktioniert.
Seltsamerweise habe ich üebrhaupt keine Höhe im Diagramm.

I was playing around with some other stuff, as I thought about hiking and cycling overlays for online maps like Outdooractive online maps.
So I extracted the cycle and hike routes from the volatile themes and put it together with another nice online map.
This is the result:

You can believe me it´s much better looking in reality.  :mrgreen:
1. So extract the small overlay.zip into your _themes directory.
2. load an openandromap (vector map)
3. change the theme to Overlay-Hike p. e..  (you´ll get the second picture above)
4. load the outdooractive (online map) as overlay choose mode "Muliply" and at least 75%, better 100% for opacity. (3. picture)
5. Now you´ll have your Outdooractive map with hike routes form openstreetmap

btw. normally you would load the online map (outdooractive) first and the overlay (map) later, but my way descibred above is the better one.
