Hi,
after downloading a track from my GPSies account using the Web Services, I tried to import that track into the core Locus track database but the popmenu item for that function is grayed out. Import as a local file doesn't work either.
- The file is saved at /sdcard/Locus/Mapitems as geojson file type.
- The track could be shown on map
- Locus version: 3.16.2
Any ideas?
Regards
Jörg
Hello Jörg
and wellcome in board ;)
one alternative:
- display track on map
- click on track
- open track details
- click "arrow up" button
- create copy
Hi balloni55,
thanks for providing this solution which will do the trick :).
Since I'm tweaking my tracks on GPSies very often until I've found a feasible track setup, it would be nice to have a working "import" menu item in the future - I think it is simply much faster.
Any idea what reasons causing the menu item to be grayed out? Is this a bug?
Anyway,
thx for your contribution.
Regards
Jörg
GeoJSON files are currently not enabled for direct import into Locus. I plan to change method that works with list of GPSies tracks to allow direct import into track database instead of download of tracks into Locus/mapItems directory. Anyway it will take a while. So for now, it's best to use suggested workaround, sorry.
Hi @menion,
Is there any progress regarding direct importing into DB? Any tweaking?
Good day Christian,
this import directly from GPSies service is already working in latest Beta, so feel free to try it ;).
Nice. Thank you.
Will wait for final release.
