Title: Elevation maps?
Post by: petropix on December 28, 2011, 19:49:37
Hello:

I'm new to GPS navigation and cartography, but thanks to Locus I've turned into a zealous convert. This is brilliant software. Congratulations!

One question: how can export the altitude information/chart of a recorded track so that I can create a graphic image? In other words, if I export as Gpx for example, in what program can I import the GPX file so that it will show all the high and low points? I do alot of cycling and want to create elevation maps.

Thanks for your help.

t.

Hi,
I think that best is to use online tools on GPSies or Breadcrumbs site! To these web site, you can use export feature directly in Locus. Or you may use Google Earth, that can handle elevation data in GPX file
