FWIW my profile template name was not affected. I would suggest a track/filename more compact & unique like {t}"-"<ascending-serial#> or just {t} if time is included to make the name unique (I can't recall). The other suggestions are heavily dependent on personal preference, and will often result in a quite long name that subsequently has to be mostly partially deleted by many users.

Does metres really have a sense? Hmm ...

@Menion - to me, maybe @0709 too? the distance to the next navigation announcement makes more sense than time. Each could have advantages in different scenarios though. I generally find the shortest time in the setting (eg. 30|180|300) is somewhat unreliable, but the most crucial. The actual 30s announcement is anywhere between only 10s to 30s before the turn, as this is often when speed is slowing down, so I often have to turn on display manually anyway. Maybe a fixed distance setting here would be more predictable?

With a choice of time (in seconds) but certainly also the more simple select distance in meters.
Time default is 15|35|300 sec or Distance default 75|175|1500 meters

@0709 - I currently have "navigation_announcements_times=30|180|600" - are you saying the values can be "sec" or "meters"? What is the full syntax? The keyword "..._times" implies these values are "sec" not "meters". This is certainly one hidden gem setting that would be good to migrate to UI expert settings.

4.3.3.8_1035: for me at ZL9 to ZL11 there are a little too many distance markers (eg attached), but it's just minor, and now without "km" in label, it is near perfect. Thanks @Menion.

re config.cfg - also beware - don't bother adding your own comments after the hash# character, as these will be deleted next time config.cfg is written

"Km" symbol ... I know, but I have to consider other units that may be currently selected. It also helps to avoid confusion with labels of points or other content on the map. Hmm for now, I think that they are so small, that the "km" symbol causes no issue ...

@menion I disagree, surely this "km" text is a waste of valuable space, see screen caps (note this track was out-and-back; there are way too many labels for ZL <= 14. At ZL 15 & 16 they are mostly OK, then ZL 17+ there are too few or none! Can they be dynamically adjusted to just have 3 or 4 at any given ZL? This scheme then works for high ZL where only a few 100m are displayed. PS - new beta/ same name - seems to be better

Can the labels be toggled from the Route Planner?

I think a warning is needed in the app, to protect developers from possible legal action, but even more so to clarify that ETA is not an exact science, but a rough estimate.

@lor74cas - if user has to enter their details for their own profile, then onus is back on the user for the ETA. Not fully because there is the algorithm behind the scenes, but still one more reason that user specified profiles are +1.

IMHO, personalized settings exposed to profiles, already available for bicycle and car profiles, should be implemented.

From the Route Planner/ saved track, we have 15+ profiles for calculating ETA; all a compromise; none include a powered vehicle profile even though many powered vehicles are available as the routing service.

Then to add confusion (maybe just me) there are different set of 35+ track activities; many of which seem to serve the same purpose/ overlap with the profiles, but here there are 9 powered "transportation" options.

how can I create a round trip in the route planer? I want to select a point where the route starts and ends.

@Davidos the round trip function only works with zero or one points. Zero points - assume current GPS location. One point - use as start/ end location. By definition the round-trip starts & ends at the same point. It only works with online GrafHopper service. You could modify the initial route to then suit your specific purpose of course.

I can already hide the zoom buttons, if you don´t have that setting you should maybe update locus. I have the same options as with the other map items (vissible, auto-hide, hide).

The whole LoPoint system needs an overhaul IMO some day... And the subsystems a) "show n*100 poi as temporary items on map" vs. b) "show some unknown subset of close online/offline LoPoint on map" - for sure are confusing.

it appears (from user's point of view) these are 2 independent settings, when logically (?) they should be the one setting; just two places to access. It sure had me confused, still after all these years ;-(

@tapio - excellent observation. In fact I was going to ask a related question, but now you have solved it for me:- why when I have <main menu > LoPoints > Show on map:unchecked> but still 100's of POI appear on the map until each time I <clear temp points>. It appears there is a conflict/ fight with <Map screen content > LoPoints>.

If I check/uncheck <main menu > LoPoints > Show on map> then it should at least also be reflected in the <Map screen content > LoPoints> setting, and visa versa?

Or, as part of the LoPoints promotion from beta to fully working, this will be better resolved ;-)

- Loading/Downloading ... not so simple. In the "Loading moment" app probably do some merging or extracting. I've at least changed loading > working that makes more sense.

@menion - does there need to be a screen update for this merging/ extracting? It is relatively fast compared to the downloading, so the text switches around for no very good reason. Very minor detail.
