In my country, Portugal, Locus is very often used in 4x4 offroad and considered the best of all gps apps for 4x4.
The 4x4 profile (off-road with occasional road to link trails) is a must.
It is not possible to have updated maps with gates and so on, for now and next years in many european countries. But it is with protected/environmental areas, and maps are already updated on that. This is the main feature, not only for 4x4 off-road, but also other activities
When we plan off-road, or do it, we have to choose where to go "in-loco": gates, private roads, forest works on progress, etc.,  obtain necessary authorizations, and so on. In Europe there is few cartographic information on this, differently from USA, so Locus doesn't have to worry with what doesn't exist.
This profile is a plus for Locus.

Hello francisco, others.
Hmm, if you are logged into Locus Map with an account that has active any kind of app subscription, suggest giving it a try and log in with exactly the same account into Locus Map on the device without Google services. You should be able to use paid subscription there as well. Missing Google Services should not be a problem!
But in Locus 4-Gold I login with my Google account; is possible to "transform" in a normal email login?

I've Gold in Talblet & phone
But in Garmin Overlander I've Pro because no Google Services; there I've to use Brouter for now because I don't see a Lorouter option there.

I tried to find information about Lorouter and differences with Brouter, but I don't find information about this.
In offline I was using Brouter with the Brouter app and specific downloads.
Lorouter is best? Needs also Brouter behind?

Web portal & sync / Re: Web planner / portal

+ 1 to POIs in the web portal
+ 1 to map layers in the web portal
(see how Gaia does it)
Planning tracks in web portal (computer) is a plus, much more easy that in a phone or tablet. But many of us have lots of POIs and are used for planning.
Today only tracks are synced with web portal.
Also for planning an adventure map satellite layers are fundamental in the web portal.
Without those 2 upgrades web portal has very limited usefulness.
You are doing a good job
But you need increase substantially the development effort for a limited time, because now is not beta, is payed... And my evaluation of your effort changed dramatically with that little detail...

... To sum this: allow Google-free system was not a priority for V1. Anyway, even more than with the Pro version, we would like to create a system that will be Google independent as soon as possible.
Yes, the best solution is Google independent. With last mobile-wars (...Huawey) is best to not depend in such giants, or one day 1 third of your customers can't use Locus with sync feature...
For me with a powerful gps engine (with no Google) I can't sync phone with it, so no advantage to subscribe a plan. I'll continue with Pro (Google on phones & Amazon on GPS)

I´ve one question: I have Locus at my Samsung phone and also at Garmin Overlander (pro version from Amazon); but Garmin Overlander has no Google Services.
The new Locus 4, to sync between devices, needs Google services, or there will be an Amazon option, or it is not possible at all?
