Map download error
« on: August 31, 2018, 08:30:26 »
When trying to download maps for online use, the app crashes and restarts. It worked few days ago when I last used it - not sure anything I did has changed. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, latest Locus version from store.

Error log from my system shows:

Restarted app - nothing. Restarted phone - nothing. Uninstalled app and restored it from Titanium backup - worked.

Nope, still not working. But I found a workaround - if I select what I want to download, then i crashes AND then (when in map provider select menu) chosing again what to download, hiting OK... the map starts to download and at the same time Locus is booting up, loading points&tracks from previous session.

Good evening Marty,
sorry to read about these problems. Another crash in device native code (some libs directly build-in in your device). Hmm seems to be more of these problems then before.

Unfortunately, I have to say that for us, these problems are still unsolvable. Will have to look on this a lot more deeply next days/weeks.

Ok, if anyone else encounters this thread, he can use the workaround.
And because it's a feature I use a lot, I will update this thread with new finds.
