Hi, I am trying to import a KMZ overlay made in google earth, that uses a GIF with transparent background, but whenever I use a GIF the overlay does not show up in Locus.

If I change file to JPG then it shows up, but JPG does not have transparent background option.

Is there any way to do this, or a fix?

Thank you.

Good day,
I'm worried that GIF images are a) unexpected, b) unsupported by Locus Map.

What is advantage of using GIF images instead of PNG or JPG format in KMZ files?
