Spurious hill shading

Using the latest LoMap of Wales on the latest LocusPro, at zoom=12 only I get spurious hillshading tiles in the sea. There may be spurious hillshading elsewhere, but in the sea it is obvious!
I get the same effect using OAMaps at zoom=11.

Good evening John,
sharing on the ground seems to be correct right? It looks for me more like some incorrect HGT file with name of this area.
Try to look into Locus/data/srtm directory if there are a files named N53W004 and N53W005. Best should be to delete them completely.

I deleted all the srtm folder and cleared temporary files (except cached online files) but the map rebuilds itself with the same problems as before.  The error only occurs at one zoom level. Looking at it carefully I think the whole hill shading tile is rotated and reflected or something similar. If you look at my screen shots you can see discontinuities at the edge of the tile on the land.
If I switch the layer to altitude colouring, it gives the correct result (so the hgt files cannot be corrupt) but the error returns when I switch back to hill shading.

Interesting, one more tip, please also delete this directory Locus\cache\map\shader and let me know if it helps. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion but it made no difference. What is so odd is that this only happens at specific zooms and on specific maps.

Hmm oki, thanks for tests.
So latest LoMap, theme internal hiking? Where did you downloaded HGT files, also over Locus Store together with map of Wales? I'm going to try to simulate it on own device ...

My tests were with the latest LoMap of Wales downloaded in the last few days, and hgt files that go with that, also downloaded in the last couple of days. I have also tested with OAMaps Great Britain. The theme used does not matter, but I have illustrated the problem with the internal hike&bike theme. I get identical results if I switch themes. If I turn hillshading off, the effect goes (not surprisingly).
I have tested with the current LocusPro and the latest beta. I have these set on my phone with custom folders in common, to share the same data, as far as possible.

The screenshots below are the latest. They are not identical with what I was getting before. The artefact is only at the zoom level and map specified.

Locus Pro/LoMap Wales/z=12 | Locus Pro/OAMap Great Britain/z=11

Locus Beta/LoMap Wales/z=12 | Locus Beta/OAMap Great Britain/z=10

John, this one was really bad :). Problem was in incorrect naming of cached tiles, where rarely happen, that for some tile was took incorrect cached tile. I remember few times some people reported me about some incorrect shading and it was definitely this issue.
Perfect, I was able to simulate it on different place and finally fix!!
Thank you very much, should be work correctly in next (beta) version.
