POIs comments
« on: June 21, 2017, 07:56:51 »
I have a collection of waypoints in a GPX file which contains interesting comments in their "Comment" field, but when I import it in Locus, this field is not there, so I loose these comments (in Locus, but in many other applications, I have to admit!)

Any workaround for that...?

Good day,
in case, comment is stored in "cmt" tag in GPX file, it should be visible in point detail screen. If isn't, please attach here some smaller sample file for test, thank you.

May be the comments for each POI are not in the right place ? But they are visible OK when I open the GPX file with MapSource or BaseCamp...

Thanks for a file.

I'm checking it and all points seems to looks like:

Code: [Select]
<wpt lat="48.299544" lon="1.244377">
2017-06-19T12:42:29.244Z

<desc>Placard électrique avec 4 prises dans le petit muret en brique rouge à côté du banc face au fleuriste</desc>
<extensions>
<gpxx:WaypointExtension>
<gpxx:Address>
<gpxx:StreetAddress>14 Place de l'Église</gpxx:StreetAddress>
<gpxx:City>Illiers-Combray</gpxx:City>
<gpxx:Country>France</gpxx:Country>
<gpxx:PostalCode>28120</gpxx:PostalCode>
</gpxx:Address>
</gpxx:WaypointExtension>
</extensions>
</wpt>

And all these information are visible in detail of every point. So I really suggest, to check if your data are correctly placed in GPX file.

The GPX file has been transmitted to LocusMap via WeChat, and you can see in the 2 snapshots where it is in Locus, ans how the first POI looks like (with no comment, here...).

Weird. If you open locus > menu > about application ... there should be a version. There is really 3.24.2? If so, make sure, you have imported your files with this version, not with previous!

OK, and thank you again for the help! :)

So, my version was (is) good, but, yes, the GPX file was (may be very lightly...) anterior. I just imported it again, and all is OK now.
