It will be great if Locus will support road traffic layer, from google.maps and/or yandex.maps.
Thanks!

I'll think about it. It mainly depend on how all this layer is done

Sorry for incorrect topic, thanks for moving.

About traffic layer - I am sure this is just a transparent bitmap.
Look at this cool PC application - http://sasgis.ru/sasplaneta/ - it can apply any traffic layer to any map, for example google.traffic to the OSM.map, or yandex.traffic to the google.satellite. This is not mainstream feature, so, i think the work with layers must not be very complicated.

Anyway thanks for very good and useful app!

hmm interesting, it's no just and transparent overlay, it's completely whole map layer

look here

http://mt0.google.com/vt/hl=en&x=1106&y=693&z=11

and with trafic

http://mt0.google.com/vt/lyrs=m@1460000 ... z=11&s=Gal

so adding this is pretty simple as and alternative map layer anyway here comes new trouble and that is validity of map data. This map have to be set to be valid for example only one hour, no more .. correct? Hmm have to think about it :)

I not sure I understood correctly, what you mean as "links to the images"? I took this screenshots using Sasplanet, just selecting different options.

ah ok, I thought that you do this on some web page. I translated sasplanet web page to english and looks that this is only software for desktop computer? Or is there any web page where I can see this maps and check url that is web page call for images (this will do by myself, just need the web page)? And count then russian is unreadable for me :) so please if exist any web page, then rather direct link :)

Yes, unfortunately sasplanet has only russian language at the website, i agree it's their mistake. And, again yes, this is only desktop PC application.
I understood, you need URL where to retrieve the images with that "traffic layers". Ehehe, it's a little complicated to detect, because sasplanet is not show URL where it takes the images  ;)
Anyway, i will try. My idea is to look whole tcp stream from that application to search required URL requests.

i scanned tcp stream, and found something.
this is example of such URL for yandex.traffic:
http://jgo.maps.yandex.net/tiles?l=trf& ... 1299850560
the result is .png file
but, so strange, this URL succesfully opens only couple times for me, next trying was failed with 404/not found  :?:

for google it's like this:
http://mt1.google.com/vt?hl=ru&lyrs=h@1 ... y=639&z=11

cool?  ;)

It is possible to switch Sasplanet into English language. See screenshot for details.

About sniffing URL sheme for Traffic services. The simplest way for it - is introduce in programm settings any simple proxy-server with a logging facility.

Hi,
no news. First, I really forgot on this. Second, I expect that these data will be licenced in same way as Yandex maps, so it's not possible to add it to Locus now (due to Terms of use)
