Troubles & Questions / Re: sort order for tracks
February 25, 2011, 10:28:15
Quote from: "menion"hi, you're right. Tracks you wrote are sorted by name. You can sort by other things by bottom button, but there is missing "Sort by record date" ... I'll add this ...

Seems to be solved in 0.9.22.1. Thank you very much.
So there comes up a second question. I stored a few tracks in the last days. Is it possible to to export all together (30 tracks to 30 gpx-files) in one session with default names?
It´s a little clumsy to exort 30 tracks one by one.

Quote from: "menion"so now is question, how to create perfect huge maps? When you create it in Locus, there is no possibility to set exact border or rectangle for splitting to multiple part. So question is whether do in Locus tool, to select rectangle exactly by for example coordinates, or leave it be and create tool only for desktop that will split map downloaded by Mobac? What you think? Second solution seems better for me, best should be if anyone wrote this tool for desktop, anyway I can do it by myself ... :)

I think, it´s not a problem of sqlite, because Android seems not handle files >2GB at all.
http://osdir.com/ml/Android-Developers/ ... 03235.html
http://www.mail-archive.com/android-por ... 09800.html
http://androidforums.com/droid-x-suppor ... ost1569222

so the only way seems to be split files to <2GB. But if there are two files, will the second be looaded from locus as it is needed (while changing to the next area)?

Hello,

since download maps with mobac and smartphones becomes more and more restricted, is there a way to merge or combine dowloaded tiles (p. e. with Jtiledownloader) into sqlitedeb format?

Troubles & Questions / sort order for tracks
February 20, 2011, 17:35:47
Hi,
the sort order for tracks is a little strange.
11.01....
12.02....
13.01....
and so on. If you have a lot of tracks stored, it´s hard to find the latest.
Maybe I don´t find how to sort. Any suggestions are welcome.

Implemented / Re: Navigation
February 16, 2011, 09:32:10
Quote from: "jctmarques"I think I read all the topics in forum but didn't find anything regarding Road Navigation,....

For road navigation you must use/have vector maps. Locus is using raster maps. The only way for road navigation without paying for a vector map at the moment I think, is using Openstreetmap data. But it works only in the Garmin format at the moment.

Quote from: "menion"hmm looks nice. But you have to know, I plan to do some screen with absolutely defined layout by user. I have some imaginations and possibility to show different values over map is in my plans :)

Sounds very well  :D

Implemented / Data fields for diffrent informations?
February 16, 2011, 08:24:25
Is it possible to integrate data fields for different informations?
P. e. for speed, average speed, distance etc.
For better understanding what I mean, you may have a look  at the screenshot here: http://www.trail.ch/forum/showthread.php?tid=352 .
At the second "line" from the bottom there are 4 data fields, that you can configure by your own with informations you want.
It´s also possible to hide this fields with the Aventura

Troubles & Questions / Re: GPS enabling? Display?
February 16, 2011, 07:55:30
Quote from: "menion"You should also use quick enabling button (hold for a long gps icon in locus top panel).

Oh, that´s what I have looked for.  Thanks

Troubles & Questions / Re: GPS enabling? Display?
February 15, 2011, 13:29:54
Today I used 0.9.15 first time. Great work, thank you again.

But I´m wondering about this:
Enabling GPS on the Defy abou a widget outside from Locus I can get a fix p. e. with another app GPS Essentials.
But in Locus I have to enable GPS once more, touching the gps icon.
On the other side stopping gps with locus does not stop the Android gps and I have to stop gps with the system widget too.
Is this so correct?

Other features / Re: [DISCUSSION] desktop widget
February 11, 2011, 09:11:37
I´m not sure if I understand you correctly.
Would you like to program a "locus" widget? If so, I propose to have a shortcut to enable gps funcionality and perhaps the possibility to choose the map (style).
Mostly I use a gps or a smartphone for offroad like cycling or hiking. so for me  "parking" would not be my first wish.
For onroad (car) I use commercial systems as Navigon, Falk etc. because the speech quality is implemented better.

With Motorola Defy it works as menion described without any problem. (Android 2.1)
While turning off the screen I also lock it and have to unlock after turning on.

The GPS is still alive? Or do you have installed any energy saver?

Troubles & Questions / GPS enabling? Display?
February 07, 2011, 11:36:07
1.
While "Gps Essentials" is already searching satelites with enabled GPS, it seems that I have to start/enable gps within locus once more?

2.
The Mororola Defy has a WVGA Display, so that maps of Openstreetmap must be locked in the highest zoomlevel to make in possible to get a "higher" zoom for reading the street names.  On the other side the lower original zoomlevels are not usable  on a smartphone. Is it possible to get the highest "normal" zoomlevels for readable street names?

It´s yours,  :D
But to explain my wish: I use my tracks mostly after a tour at the same day (biking, runnig, walking). So easiest way to get it on to the PC is to connect the PC via USB with my smartphone and to copy the "exported" foo.gpx track to the PC. After copying I just double click the file to load it for instance in mapsource.

Apropos, ist it possible to get it in the other direction for instance to dowload tracks from gpsies.com and to use in locus?
the easiest way is, that locus can read .gpx files.

Troubles & Questions / Re: using offline maps
January 31, 2011, 10:48:52
The problem seeems only to exist with the 1,2 GB Outdoractive Map, smaller OSM maps 200 mb work fine.
(original Android 2.1 from Defy, but rooted)

by the way, where do the zoom levels come from. I created a mobac map where where the maximum level is 15.  I wonder that it in locus is 24?
