Hello everyone,

some time ago I had developed a theme for the V3 vector maps. I would now like to start developing a theme for the V4/V5 maps
At that time, I remember that there were special functions that could only be used with Locus.
For example, I found the "growing" fonts or symbols like these very helpful:

Is this still available for the V4/V5 maps?

One more question
Do you have to pay special attention to the track recording?
I have noticed that the tracks with the old S2 are recorded very accurately, always nicely following the road.
With the new S23 it looks like the GPS switches off in the meantime. It is often recorded points only as the crow flies.
When I look at the satellite page or in the app GPS status, almost always immediately about 30 satellites are displayed for the fix.
Do I need to do something else in Locus like "enable satellites in background"?
The setting for cycling is: 10m |5 s| 25m.

Hello all,

after a long time I now come to deal again more with Locus. I still have an older version of Locus Classic 3.33.2 that works well with the V3 maps and a theme I developed on my old Galaxy S2. On the new S23 Ultra runs the version 3.69.1 of Locus.
Unfortunately SVG patterns are not displayed there. If I swap an SVG for a PNG the pattern is displayed though. Can this be the case?
for example: Pattern is not shown:

After the exchange of cliff.svg to cliff.png, it works:

Can that be?

I downloaded a small V4 map, changed version="3" to version="4" and activated my old theme.
I just see a blank screen.
What is to do? Doesn´t the  features of the Locus V3 rendering engine work any longer?
Is there any description for Locus themes of all tags I can use?

Today  my S2 (CyanogenMod Android 5.1) crashed while installing new Locus version from Google Play.
I had to do a wipe/facory reset to start the phone. It works as long I don´t install Locus. Otherwise I had to wipe/factory reset the phone.  Before it was running without any probles for more than three years.

after a long time.. 
I recorded a cycle track, which I paused for cup of coffee. Now I wanted to see, at what time I restarted the record. But I can´t find this (any) time information. Maybe I´m blind.

How can I easily search for an adress within new route planer?

Since a while Mapsforge offers the priority key for better arranging tags like town names before other tags.
Is it possible to implement it into Locus maps rendering engine?

With Openandromaps (perhaps with LoMpas too) and my theme I can see the tag (bicycle=NO).

But if I choose p. E. the MTB BRouter profile, it routes me over these (bicycle=NO) paths.
Is this correct?

nachdem mit der neuen BRouter Version inzwischen brauchbare Routen mit Abbigehinweisen erstellt werden...
Funktionieren auch akustische Abbiegehinweise (Töne) und/oder die rechtzeitige Displayaktivierung?
Ich meine Willy (0709) hätte vor einiger Zeit mal sowas mit Christian? entwickelt. Bei meinen Tests hatte es damals aber nicht so 100%ig funktioniert.

Can anybody recommend a "cheap"  high resolution smartphone with more than 500ppi?
It should be mostly used for theme developing, Battery lifetime, GPS quality is not so important.

I added "now" free WMS maps from http://www.lvermgeo.rlp.de/index.php?id=7186 manually as

search p. e for the city of Koblenz and try to load one of  the WMS maps with light blank background ..
Locus (pro and beta) crash after 2 seconds.

is it possible to add a feature to transform labels for peaks to mapsforge maps themes?

Using Locus style parameter within a theme it would be nice to change the "background" for not specially tagged areas.
P. e. If you set the background to white colour (#FFFFFF) all not tagged areas will shown with white color.
This looks ok for a "winter" theme, where I can set forest, farmland tags to white background too.
But If you want to switch to a summer theme p.e cycling or hiking the not specialy tagged areas are still white, that doesn´t fit the reality very well.
Second scenario: if you set the background p. e. to light brown for summer, because you think non tagged areas are most farmland you´ll get a strange looking winter theme.

Is there any possibility to implement it? Or does it work already?

because Menion doesn´t answer at the moment.
For theme developers version 3.9.1 isn´t useable. Can anybody please share Pro version 3.9.0?
I tried version 3.8.2 to install, but didn´t have success.

 Gibt es eine Anleitung, wie man schnell ein paar Navigationspunkte anlegt oder gibt es einen Shortcut zum Punkt "ZuNavigations-Wegpunkt umwandeln? Irgendwie ist das für mich auf einem 4 - 5" Smartphone eine ziemliche Fummelei.

As long Locus is a smartphone app, I would like to use the forum with my smartphone too.
