Hello,

The issue might be a side effect of the bug fix of 'Text-to-speech issues when background audio player play on A11+.' in Locus Map 4.5.7.4 and Locus Map Pro 3.56.5.3. Before these Locus versions, the music keeps playing on during audio coach voice and it was very comfortable for running with favorite music. Could you please look at the issue and find out a solution?

I release an easy to use bash script to create custom icon pack for Locus Map. Based on a simple format definition file 'info.dat', it's possible to:
  - download icons from internet.
  - generate info.xml with favorite icon listing order and icon categories.
  - create custom icon zip archive.

Created icon pack is compatible with Locus Map 3.24.1 and later.

If you share your custom icon pack which may contain copyrighted icon images, just share definition file 'info.dat'. As it only contains icon image URLs, sharing it won't violate icon's terms of use. Users can download, pack and use icons on their responsibility.

I'm transferring points with photos from device A to device B by exporting a kmz file on device A and importing (or only display) it on device B.
It seems that if kmz file name contains multi-byte characters, Locus fails to locate the path to the photo.
Could you please test attached sample kmz file and fix the problem?

If a point has an icon as same as point's folder icon and when the point is moved or copied to an another folder, the point's icon is forcibly replaced to the icon of the destination folder. In addition, this point's icon replacement also happens when simply folder's icon is changed.

It might be designed proper behaviour of Locus but I personally don't like this. An icon assigned to a point is one of the attribution which belongs to the point and shouldn't be changed depending on the folder's icon. If this behaviour remains in Locus, "Use folder's icon" switch should be introduced to points like that for tracks.

How do you think?  May I ask your opinion?

Pins and balloons created by Google Earth and imported into Locus doesn't point the position where it was set.

The image shows the pins created by Google Earth in different icon scale from 0.9 to 1.7.  (The default scale value in Google Earth is 1.1.) The pinpoint of each pin was set exactly on the road. But pins smaller than 1.3 appears upside and pins bigger than 1.3 appears downside.  Only the 1.3 scale pin appears on the road. Horizontal position of the pins seems fine for all.

If you change zoom level or rotate map in Locus, you will find that the pinpoints don't stay at the same position but move around. May I ask to fix this?

Thank you in advance.

I have one question about kmz file loading without importing.

The method of loading kmz file that Petr explaind at "https://getsatisfaction.com/locus/topics/kmz_open_problem" works very well. The images in the kmz file are nicely overlaid on the map. However, Locus creates a sub-folder under Locus/data/import and copies the images there even without calling Import function. Is this an expected behavier?

Wishlist / Language selection of address search
September 01, 2013, 12:09:49
Could you make it possible to select the language of address search result by the Locus setting rather than by android system language setting?
In most case, address in local language is more useful than navive language. But for now, to get that, you have to change the language for whole android.

Could you please correct address search result in Japan?

I'm sending a sample coordinate by gpx file and its address search result shown in pictures.
Each picture shows the address search results by Locus and by Google Map together, and one is the result in English and the other in Japanese.
In both language, 'Post code' is missing and 'Street' is wrong.

Wishlist / order of max/min altitude display

In the track information window, showing Max. altitude upper and Min. altitude lower looks more natural, I think. How do you think?

Wishlist / date format for weather and parking
August 05, 2013, 09:27:00
As far as I know, since version 2.13.0, the date format for Locus is generated by android locale settings.
In the case of Japanese, it has been improved to "08/05" for the top panel and "2013/08/05" for point/track information and etc.

Could you also apply the same date format scheme to weather and parking?
Weather : "08/05" (or "8月5日" is better, "8月5日 X曜日" is the best, if possible)
Parking : "2013.08.05"

Troubles & Questions / TTS problems [JPN]
July 04, 2013, 10:06:00
I will report two problems on navigation in Japanese voice.

1) comma character
When there are two turns in a row, navigation voice in English says, for example, "After 100 meter turn left, then after 100 meter turn right". Here, the ',' character does not produce any sound.

On the other hand, on navigation in Japanese, the ',' character is actually read by TTS as 'comma'. It is very annoying.  Is it possible to translate ',' into '、' ? The '、' is Japanese comma and is not read by Japanese TTS.

2) fifty instead of fifteen
When you approach about 15 meter before a turning point, navigation in English says "After 15 meter turn left". But in Japanese, the voice says "After fifty meter (50 m) turn left" instead of fifteen meter (15 m). I don't know why.

Independent from Locus, I've tested Japanese TTS by directly giving '15' and I confirmed that the TTS says 'fifteen' in Japanese.
