  unfortunately thanks to this http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Blocked_applications , Locus is not allowed to access to access low zoom level even for viewíng. In case of Hike&Bike, Locus is allowed for view of maps but not for download. Check "tile usage policy" for this map (same as for mapnik OSM server). There you'll read all you need to know

ah sorry. I changed license from GPL to LGPL and forget to change headers also.

Anyway why LGPL is not suitable? LGPL just say that you may use it in non-gpl as you want, it's not a problem. Only a changes have to be reflected back to code owner. In this case it's logical. Changing Locus API without reflection to Locus itself don't have much sense.

You just cannot simply change way how Locus communicate over API  with your application without changes in Locus itself, so LGPL make sense here.

and sorry, I don't know any workaround. Mainly because I still don't know why this happen. There should not be any problems with memory, also one buy already recorded for me some logs and nothing. Damn ... anyway as I wrote, next week I'll ask you, or globally here on forum for some tests. This problem have to be solved because seems to be serious and really enyoing

aren't you using GPS auto-off feature?

anyway you're not only one with some autopausing unwanted feature. I'm currently releasing new version. There will probably be no change with this problem anyway I'm giving it high priority to next release ...

there should not be any "problem with icons from file". If points aren't geocaches (which cannot have different icons) that it's for sure problem in Locus. So when you attach here any sample file, I'll check it ...

hmm best way I also use is to generate osm poly file by JSOM

result is OSM xml file. To convert to required poly file, use attached perl scripts

syntax is

Code Select Expand

perl __poly2osm.pl afghanistan.poly > afghanistan.osm
and opposite when you want to convert from OSM to poly

JSOM also allow to load GPX file directly, so you should not have any problems with it

hmm, I'm not experienced with SRTM maps generating (but I'll also try it soon so your description will be very useful), but I know about already working version of slovak map. Check add-on https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... utePlanner , inside is possibility to download complete map directly, but mainly, author is generating slovak map with SRTM data so you should try to write him. I'm sure Martin will help you ....

when you have enabled track recording or any active service (track record, navigation, map download, ...), you should, when you press "back" button, see small toast with text like "currently running services: .. ". This mean that you firstly have to end these services before complete close. Is this your case?
