Two weeks ago, the algorithm on the web planner was updated + online LoRouter now uses detailed elevation data, so please check and compare current values if possible. I believe you will be satisfied  ;).

Values on the web are now more realistic. Values are now also united on the web and in the Android app so computed values on all platforms should be identical. So give it a try ...

Web portal & sync / Re: Devices time drift
October 23, 2023, 09:01:44
Hello,
times in the app for sync purposes are handled independently on the time of the device, so there should generally be no problem related to the "time" itself.

Hello and sorry for the troubles.

Please try to install the Beta version MapGooglePlay_4.19.0.2_1115_beta.apk from this link: http://bit.ly/lmVersionsTest . @freischneider correctly wrote it is an identical issue that should be solved in this Beta version.

Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised it worked before! The path to the legend should be a) URL to web page or b) a relative path within the theme directory. So only the "legend.pdf" and not the "mapsVector/_themes/legend.pdf". Anyway in the next version, both versions will work!

Btw. very nice legend!!!  :o

Hello OS,
thanks for the huge amount of screenshots  :). I was mainly curious about your setup in the Altitude manager screen, where seems to be everything "correctly" disabled. In such case, the received altitude should be completely un-affected by any internal optimization and visible values should really be values that Locus Map received.

The question here is what values the app receives. In the app settings > GPS & sensors is a setting called "Google Services assisted location". This switch between two modes. First (when disabled) is the old method where the app receives raw data. The second use pre-computed values by the Google Play services library and I've already noticed that in rare cases, values were not correct. So if you have an option to test it, suggest disabling this setting and giving a second try.

Let's wait for the next version. I'll do a few more tweaks till then. I'm also just now doing some battery benchmarks to measure if this has a noticeable impact on the battery.

Anyway
- basic centering on the current position (so the movement of the map cursor & map every second) should work ok
- when the navigation is active, the cursor still jumps every second, but map is moving smoothly - this should be improved

There are quite a lot of possibilities regards how the link to a map legend may be defined.

Could you please share with me a theme with PDF legends that does not work for you as expected? Thanks!

Locus Map / Re: [APP] - version 4.19.+ ( 9/2023 )

@Tapio
omg, also "Auto save" was applied to all profiles, damn. Thanks a lot!!

@Žajdlík Josef
I wanted to make this setting "positive". So it is enabled by default and makes the track visible after saving. Anyway, I'll discuss with @Michal the update in the label.

@balloni55
Missing options in geotagged photos are correct. The app is no longer able to read photos from user-defined locations on the Android 11+. As I see in the code, with the AFA version, this should still be available. Testing .. confirmed.

@balloni55
thanks for the bug report, but maybe two hours later I immediately released the 3.70.1 version where this problem should be solved! Does it work now?

Locus Map / Re: [APP] - version 4.18.+ ( 8/2023 )

Hi to all,

version 4.19.0 published: https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=8631.0

"Warnings" are currently in the online version, special MTB custom parameter as well. The task on next month is to get all this to offline LoRouter + finalize few more router customizations. Hope we will get some feedback from the usage ;).

Thanks again for the help with new version, appreciate it!

Nono, I did not describe it perfectly.

The app always allows to continue in the previous recording, even after a day or more.

What happens if you reboot the device within 10 minutes is that recording should continue automatically without the need to start it manually in the app. Otherwise, you have to open the app, the side recording panel should open automatically and you have to press the "Start" button. That`s all. No data should be lost in any case!

The best should be as @Andrew Heard wrote.

App (if we will talk about track recording), is prepared to accidentally shutdown of the whole system. So when you restore the power of the device within 10 minutes, the recording should even start again automatically.

"Pause" before the shutdown will do its work as well. The small benefit of this is that you won't lose the last few seconds of your recordings, as may happen if you do not "pause" recording before.

Locus Map / Re: [APP] - version 4.18.+ ( 8/2023 )

New Beta version 4.18.2.3

We focused mainly on the "Warnings" & bug fixes.

So still a valid topic related to warnings - LoRouter customization & warnings.

More updates in the "Customization" system will be introduced during the next months, but not in the coming version.

Enjoy the weekend!

Hello,
the technique you describe is called "map matching" and this is something, Locus Map does not yet know. So no, sorry, this is currently not possible. You may do this manually by displaying of recorded track and planning a new one in the app Route planner, based on the recorded track.
