Freue mich, dass ihr euch schon über das Layout Gedanken macht.

Das Wichtigste immer zuerst: Preis und Vertrieb sind ja schon festgelegt, da folgt jetzt Layout.
Nein, im Ernst. Ich habe bei mir standardmäßig den Offline-Modus der Karten aktiviert. Bei Herumspielen mit den Online-Karten für die Overlays ist mir aufgefallen, daß ein Icon für den Online-Modus ganz nützlich sein kann. Verhindert u.U. größere verplemperte Geldmengen. Der Name der Karte in grüner Schrift würde es auch tun, statt eines Icons.
Wenn man eine zweite Karte bzw. Overlay benutzt, wäre es bestimmt auch nützlich, wenn dies grafisch angezeigt werden würde. Ansonsten ist es nach einer Zeit ein Rätselraten, woher die vielen Informationen kommen...

Aber zurück zur eigentlichen Frage:
Kann man das als Overlay offline laden. Locus stellt ja ein paar bereit. Da das Overlay aber möglicherweise nicht die Masse der User betrifft erwarte ich das auch nicht.
Der user "brotbüchse" hat in einem anderen Thread mal von Lonvia URL s hier gepostet, die ich mir als Overlay gespeichert habe. Selbst schaffe ich das aber nicht...

Locus schafft es mit Hilfe der SRTM-Daten "on the fly", also ohne das Zwischenzuspeichern, die Schummerung / Schattierungen der Hänge zu generieren. Die Hangneigungen ebenso zu erzeugen, sollte machbar sein. Da ich kein Programmierer bin, weiß ich natürlich nicht, wieviel Aufwand und auch Rechenleistung da dahinterstecken müßte.
Ein anderer Ansatz wäre ein Overlay (bevorzugt Offline), den aber irgendjemand generieren und zum Download bereitstellen müßte.

Jetzt würde es aber Sinn machen, den Bereich mit der Name der verwendeten Karte im oberen Teil vom Programmfenster über der angezeigten Karte auch zu markieren mit "Name der verwendeten Karte", ein Icon für online-Karte, ein Icon für Overlay...

Ich meinte nur, daß ein Icon für die Verwendung von Online-Karten und ein weiteres Icon für die Verwendung eines Overlays sein sollte, platziert in der Nahe des Bereiches, wo der Name der Karte angezeigt wird.

I lost data on card two times. Same error as you. Card was formatted in PC with fat32.
A hint in a forum said formatting the card in phone should work. No worries since than.
I don't know the difference.

You can format the card within clockwork also with sizes over 4GB.
You should not use extFat for a user data partition. Problems are well known.

0.98 funktioniert.

Aus meiner kleinen Erfahrung sind die Themen nicht an eine Karte gebunden, nur von Hand dazu aktivierbar.
Das Thema wird m.E. für die Basiskarte gerendert.

Nimm eine Vectorkarte, als Basis und dann unter Hauptmenü /Mehr /Funktionen / Karten Werkzeuge / Überlagerung von Karten die Online Karte, bzw. das gewünschte Overlay.

Hi guys,
I'm still impressed of the bunch of functions in Locus especially the handling of the maps which i use for mountainbiking and hiking and impressing the Garmin-users. So i played around with different maps - preferred OpenAndroMaps - and the themes. I figured out the less information the theme has the better for me
So mostly i use the "outdoor" theme by bm.ffb. And i slightly customized it: bigger fonts, changed min-zoom... and i'm very satisfied with this. Because even on the big screen of a Galaxy note fonts could be bigger and with more contrast.

Unfortunately when i have to change the theme, all accustomed settings disappear and i have to use settings of the other theme. (or have to change each theme.xml also
So my question to the power users:
How do you handle the different themes and settings?
What about  a "master config file"? All settings stored in this (xml?) -file would overwrite the settings of the themes? Make it sense to have selected settings like names of towns, cities, suburban places, peaks a.s.o. to be equal in all used themes? Master settings should not contain more than 20 pieces, no settings for colors, no special icons...

This should be a discussions with the users and not a request to menion (yet).
I checked the theme configurator also but its a different song.

How do you move the Locus folder to ext SD Card?

The path to the database and folders is possibly wrong. Samsung changed in 4.1.2. the name of the sd card to "/extSDCard" wich is really stupid.
So you have to check the path. If its wrong, install Locus from scratch and copy manually all contents in the new folder structure.

So we have to wait...

a legend can possibly created 'on the fly' or 'at first sight' from the info provided by the xml file of each theme. that can be stored near by the theme.xml as name_of_the_theme_legend.xml. If the theme is deleted the legend will disappear also
And it should be a nomenclature for this legend.xml so a theme designer can create the file by himself and Locus Map can use it.

Du kannst die Themes alle benutzen.
Wenn das Theme an der Karte hängt, brauchst Du das nicht nochmal herunterladen.
