Hallo,

Hallo Pflichtfeld,

Here you can find the necessarry settings in Locus.
And here you can find more tipps when losing gps signal during track recording.

After I excluded Locus from battery optimation on my Samsung Galaxy S4 running LineageOs 16.1 (Android 9) everything works as expected during track recording even when the screen is turned off most of recording time.

Hi Ulli,

I do not think the size of the external sd-card is the problem.

On my Samsung Galaxy Note4, running Android Stock ROM 6.0.1, I have an extenal 64GB sd-card installed.
Downloading LoMaps to this sd-card or running backups from Locus on the external sd-card works as expected without any problem.
Even my "backup device", a Samsung Galaxy S4, running Android 5.0.1 Stock ROM, do not have any problems with its installed 64 GB external sd-card when downloading LoMaps or running backups from Locus to the external sd-card.

Would you start a feature request at Locus HelpDesk? My vote is sure for that feature.
Or should I start the feature request at Locus HelpDesk?

Yours
Stefan

PS: Forgot to mention, that the folders on the external sd-cards are named ""/extLocus/backup/" and "/extLocus/mapsVector". I. e. Folders created by me. I wrote  read somewhere that Locus might get problems, if the root-folder on external sd-card also named "/Locus/".

As a reaction to the new GPS Averaging app Menion reopend Position averaging when taking a point at the help desk.
So if there are enough votes for the idea there might be a solution direct within locus.

Hi,

when you log something offline there is a checkbox called "Nur Log-Datum" ("Only Log Date" I guess in englisch) underneath the editable log date and log time.

When this checkbox is checked only the log date with a constant log time is stored in the corresponding fieldnote. Unfortunately this checkbox is hidden by the keyboard so you can not see the current state of that checkbox immediately.

Maybe you checked the checkbox by chance somewhere in the past. When unchecking it the actual time of the fieldnote should be stored again and you are able to log the founds in the correct order per day (earliest first, 07:00 am for example, latest last, 08:00 pm for example).

geocaching.com does not store the time of a found anyway so you have to be sure, you log the founds per day in the right order, to get a correct log-id at geocaching.com representing the correct found order of that day.

Hi,

Saturo is right. You have to install a theme that fits for the vectormap too.
In case of the Freizeitkarte you can find themes here.

And you have to assign that theme to the vectormap. Here is one possibility described. See section Map themes.

As you can read here the addon geocaching4locus ver. 2.2.5 has to drop support for devices running Android 4.3 or lower.

Maybe this is true for the newest Locus beta too.
