I published locus action files to simplify routing data installing and updating — https://graphhopper.develar.org As for openandromaps, now you can simply click "Locus" link to install or update.

Versions / Re: [APP] - version 3.29.+ ( 1. 2. 2018 )
« on: February 01, 2018, 17:44:37 »
Hi guys,
believe you have fine time  and that a new version won't cause any serious troubles. Anyway I'm ready for some bugfixing!

But, I have one idea. Is here anyone, who use fullscreen mode and never had any troubles with it? Probably not. I'm, since Android 5.0, trying to make it work perfectly and it seems, it is not possible. Anyway fullscreen mode is most useful on main map screen, or generally screen with full screen map (also like Route planner). On these screens usually problem isn't. So, what about full screen mode, that will work on these screens as now and on all other screens, bottom software buttons will be visible? Can you imagine it? Let me know. For me, it looks like ideal solution.

Elsewhere (Quick Map Switch), you label vector maps as "Smart Choice" - which they are - and also as offline maps.

A little consistency might help.  Besides, anything that helps nudge people AWAY from using tiles, especially downloading massive amounts, is a good thing.  Right?

Themes - Vector maps / [Theme] Hight contrast low-detail themes
« on: June 07, 2017, 08:06:52 »
Hi,

I always needed high contrast themes, without environment details, just roads, sidewals, bike roads etc. Much like Garmin 200/20/25 or Sigma Rox 7/11. The only things that are marked are roads, street names and house numbers. Used colors are black and white.

Toghether with my hight contrast bike dashboard, makes a perfect bike computer (for me).

Troubles & Questions / Re: Waypoint time stamp
« on: May 30, 2016, 07:52:50 »
Timestamps are not really needed for proper matching of hints and trackpoints, as they are redundant info even for multipass case. Coordinates and point order should be enough, if Locus uses pointers for both passed trackpoints and navigation points

Edit: If Locus is following the pointers above, no timestamp info is needed. If pointer info is destroyed for whatever reasons,  neither timestamp info helps, if we ended in ambiguous multipass part of the route. For non ambigious part, pointers can be easily reestablished without timestamps.

Timestamps would make sense if used with an added value of estimated point arrival ( relative to start ). For BRouter case, this can be done with the advantage of present elevation info.

I have turned off recalculation for testing purposes, using latest Trekking-poutnik.brf profile template.
having GPS off, screen of Locus placed near of the middle of the route.

If the route is generated by Brouter and imported as GPX file , it works as expected, switching between navigation ( hints ) and navigation-guidance ( question mark ), if I move the pointer around the route.

If the same route is calculated via Locus navigation interface, it switching to pure Guidance mode ( The guidance icon )
and will not revert to navigation when on the route.

Edit: Also, for route calculated via the interface, there are not displayed the hint points.......

+1 = I totally agree with Michael on his "usability" comment.
