Title: How to restore vector maps?
Post by: peterafonin on March 01, 2018, 16:18:24
Hello,

Locus Maps has has a feature - Backup vector maps. They are saved as two files - with .map and .db extensions:

georgia_en.osm.map
georgia_en.osm.db

But how to restore these backups? Couldn't figure out how to do this. Import doesn't work.

Thank you.

After digging deeper into the Locus maps, I think I can answer my own question. I thought that these were "backup" files, but in fact they are simply copies of the original map files. So to restore them I just need to copy them to the appropriate directory.

Hello,
indeed these backups are really plain copies, nothing more. In case of vector maps, simply place them back to a certain subdirectory in Locus/mapsVector. The more simple method how to restore these "backup" maps, is planned.
