I use locus for a lot of off road enduro. It would be great if it were possible to have a fuel gauge, that could be reset each time I filled up again. What I do now is record from the start, and start a new track with each fillup, and use a custom dashboard to show
Speed
Track Distance (full)
Altitude
GPS coordinates (on one line)
but it would be really nice to have a fuel gauge that showed miles till reserve, or miles covered.
Any interest ? thanks !
Hello,
new ideas > Help desk.
Anyway I'm worried that this is far beyond what most of users (hike & bike users) expect from Locus ... as you may see, something around "Fuel", do not belong into most wanted features: http://help.locusmap.eu/search/fuel
You should look for synonyms, too - "fuel" can have a broad meaning. Bikers and Hikers simply prefer different kind of :-)
Ah you mean "beer"? Hmm result is same :)
OK I understand wanting to keep the focus on hiking/biking. the main reason I've wanted a countdown or count up odometer is fuel range of two stroke bikes. I could see this also being used in electric bicycling, etc
currently I just use the tracking function and display mph/total distance/battery percentage, but a odometer would be nice.
the kids like to see their tracks from walking to/from school everyday too.
anyway, I understand, keep up the good work.
Fine.
I think close to your needs is this idea: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/summary_of_total_km_avg_speed_altitude_time_and_so_on . It has my support and I would like to implement something like this, so feel free to vote there.
