hi,
I'm not at least a little familiar with winCE application Winpilot so I have no idea what data you want to use in Locus. Please specify a little and we can chat about it. Here in locus community is a lot of pilots as I know, so it should be interested topic for more people ...

Hi Roger,
 thank you for email

few questions from me ...
1. how much people use such format? I'm not sure if I want to do some more complex task just for one person. Are these data available for public? Are periodically updated? etc ...
2. If I'll do some support for this, do you have some specification for this format? Seems it contain only areas defined by polygons correct? Anyway there is a lot of other parameters and some documentation should be more then useful ...

hello,
Explanation of openair files are here: " http://www.winpilot.com/usersguide/userairspace.asp (http://www.winpilot.com/usersguide/userairspace.asp)"

All glider pilot and aircraft pilot use that file in Xcsoar, LK8000, winpilot VFR your map are better than the map use in that different program.

1000 of pilot use that kind of file , because that is the control, restricted,....area for aircraft in flight.
the informations are public and périodicaly update with the AIP.

that is equivalent of VFR America.

that file create a map overlay.

i am using that file on my ipaq and my pc portable in the lk8000,or  xcsoar,or winpilot vfr.

regards Roger

Hi Roger ..
  shall we continue? :)

1. so place file you send me (or any other but needs to be called 'spainRH.txt') to root directory of Locus
2. install testing version from here viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1250 (http://forum.asamm.cz/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1250) and start it ... do you see data? ;)

so,
1. currently there are only displayed lines. I was fighting with it till 3'o clock morning (mainly with arcs) :). Fortunately lot of Pu'erh tea was available. So I think main and worst part is done
2. so now I need some more help from you. I don't know how these data interpret, because I never used it. Every item have some AC class value. Should I color data by this class? And if so, in which color, which line width, etc ... beast should be some screenshots from other app that already display these data or if these is any description I can use?

I'm usually not doing some bigger tasks without support from more people on forum, but even if I personally do not fly, I really like it and I'm glad to add bigger support for this in Locus ...
